I received this email note from another LLL leader who bf her triplets and
works with a lot of multiple mothers. I have her permission to post it to
Lactnet:

So strange, I have never heard of this happening... One of my expecting
triplet moms (who is 26 weeks) on bedrest, and having some pre-term labor
issues, noticed her breasts were hard as rocks yesterday morning, leaked
clear colostrum? throughout the day, and woke up soaking wet last night.
She called the Dr. office and asked if she could pump to relieve herself,
they said no, (would most likely put her in labor, she has a cerclage) but
that she could put warm compresses on it. She is afraid it is her body
getting ready to deliver. She went in and her cervix is fine, cerclage in
place, and wasn't contracting...have you ever heard of this. It is fine
today...??!!! I've never had this happen before and I'm worried, could it
be colostrum? She has a 3 year old daughter and is on strict bedrest...

Has anyone else had any experiences similar to this? If so, what works
best for the mom's comfort and would it have anything to do with the mom's
body sensing impending delivery? As always, I really appreciate all your
thoughts and suggestions. Thanks.
