I have had no responses to my query about purple nipples
while pumping with a Nurture III after clarifying that mom
was initially releasing suction every 3 seconds, then went
to every 2 seconds?

Do you think it is the lupus?  Why would this be different
from the Ameda hand pump?

Any thought would be appreciated.  Please reply privately as
well as to the list.  I continue to be NOMAIL.  (Perhaps
after I retire (not planned any time soon) I will have time
to rejoin the discussion.
