Having purchased the conference session tape on GER at the ILCA convention,
I have been hearing it on the way to and from work, so I've not been able
to follow in the syllabus, but she clearly stated that they are not finding
"evidence" (remember the theme or our conference) of the value of
thickening the fluids as being helpful in getting them to STAY down, since
the acid in the stomach thins everything anyway.

So perhaps this is a mute point?

Did anyone attend the session and hear this and can explain it better?

I also remember my own "gaggy" son not responding well when I tried to feed
him thickened cereal OR baby foods - he did better with (when he was over 6
months) semi-solids that he could control with his tongue better. (Cooked
veggies, cut up bananas, mashed but still lumpy foods and meat cut in small
pieces instead of liquified.)
