Thanks for sharing such a personal story.
I agree with you 100%.  When I first found LLL  almost 8 years ago, I
needed it  for the mothering not the breasfeeding.  By this time, my
oldest was 5 months.  We had already  worked out the breastfeeding kinks
at this point, but I was struggling with my mothering.  My instincts were
telling me one thing, while my own mother and countless others were
telling me the exact opposite.  Thank goodness for my first LLLLeader
who assured me that it was okay to follow my instincts, that attachment
parenting was okay.  I still keep in contact with this woman who was and
continues to be an excellent role model of mothering.

I find that many moms who call for breastfeeding info., eventually come
around to questions involving parenting.
