This contradicts several other studies, notably the UK's quinquennial
bf survey which has *consistently* found lower levels of bf
maintenance associated with early use of bottles (for full
reference, see archives with my name and UK survey - latest survey is
on the web somewhere). There have been 5 nationwide surveys and each
time a very large sample is used.

Of course, we shd also be cautious, using a sample from one country
and expecting the same outcome in another, *especially* in the early
days when different labour and birth and postnatal practices are
likely to have an impact on bf.
