Cheryl Parrot said,
"Ok now I am feeling guilty. Yesterday while working in my peds office, (I
had my nurse "hat" on) I told a mom that I did not recommend she nurse her
12 mo old while I gave the shot. I did strongly encourage it after, but I
stated I didn't want to cause some sort of bad association. Shot while
breast is in the mouth! Was I wrong, probably. Guilt ahhhh. I guess I
thought I was saying the right stuff. Pam...did your child have any bad
associations/???"

Cheryl,
Don't feel guilty! I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think my
babies were even aware of what a shot was. They were concentrating on the
business at hand. (A twelve month old might associate it, however.) My
children were not deterred by ANY unpleasantness that may have happened at
the breast. I thought they'd never wean...
