Jill: no one can be certain of anything in this life or in bf, but I agree
with you - it's highly likely to be thrush.  What invasive investigations -
scanning of the breast and prescription for an antispasmodic...good grief.
If her doc had tried thrush treatment at the beginning she might have been
pain free by now.

I have known several mothers with thrush on one side only.

The Breastfeeding Network in the UK has a good and well-referenced leaflet
on thrush - I think they may have posted it on their website by now but not
sure - I have only seen the printed form.
