Hi,

I had a call from a nurse/mother of a four month old who was stuck with a
dirty needle. The patient had just had a blood transfusion. She felt in this
age of uncertainty her only option was to wean. She called for advice on how
to wean and deal with the emotional trauma she was feeling. She told me that
even if it were a million to one chance she did not feel she had the right to
endanger her daughter when "she could be just as healthy on formula". I did
not think this was an appropiate time to point out the hazards of infant
formula. I do feel for this woman and I would have liked to help her come to
better solution. Any ideas?

Anyone going to Lactation Associates conference in Nadick this thursday and
friday?
Can we do lunch?
