Hello all
I am new to the list, and learning so much. I had planned to just
listen, but couldn't resist this. Susan in Israel is right, and it is
true everywhere. Several years ago I taught a pregnancy/childbirth class
to teenagers at a family development center in Vicksburg, MS. One of the
things we talked a lot about with these teen moms was the fact that they
had the responsibility to decide how to feed their babies. We dispelled
MANY bf myths they had heard... but we also worked on what to say to
those who would try to discourage or undermine their feeding choice, no
matter what it was. Moms all over (and I guess that there are not 2 more
opposite places than Israel and Mississippi) need to know that as long as
they are loving. feeding and caring for their babies, they ARE good
moms...
