Hello, Lactnet friends.

I seem to be totally burned out re: my involvement in email discussions of
lactation. Perhaps this is simply a delayed reaction to being home from
Europe after a wonderful (but totally exhausting) month-long set of 4
presentations on lactation (met such wonderful people; I only wish I could
have stayed longer) and also a choir tour that included singing in some of
the largest and most beautiful cathedrals in Germany and Austria.

Anyway, I wanted to thank each of you personally (but haven't the energy to
do that) for all the ways you have supported me in the past years,
particularly the last three years.

Both Jan R and I are thrilled with the early reception to our new Visual
Guide, which has so many wonderful pictures of clinical lactation things.
I will continue to work on Current Issues in Clinical Lactation, but am
seriously considering closing my private practice and no longer reading
Lactnet, at least until such time as I feel I have something to contribute.

For those of you planning on traveling, I highly recommend making email
contact with the many people in different countries which through Lactnet
you can communicate so easily. Who knows? You may end up having some of
the wonderful experiences that Jeanne Brotherton, Kathleen Bruce, and I had
this summer. It was an adventure I will not long forget--even the
non-lactation parts of same.

I look forward to continuing my contacts with the people whose names now
call up faces, as well.

Thanks again to all of you. If you want to reach me, feel free to contact
me PRIVATELY. I am very very rarely on LACTNET these days.
