This is actually the wording I usually use because it seems very precise to
me. I am constantly amazed by the various ways mothers tell me their baby's
age. For instance, a baby was born on Sunday, and now it's Thursday. Quite a
few tell me the baby is three days old, even if the baby was born in the wee
hours of Sunday. And probably an equal number will tell me the baby is five
days old, even if the baby was born late Sunday evening. So I found that using
the "24 hours" wording kept us both on the same page when discussing various
feeding milestones.
