Janice, this is always interesting how a study can make this claim with such
a poor definition of breastfeeding.

I want to share an antidotal story related to this topic.
Was requested to see a baby who was a poor feeder. The baby was about 3
months old and readmitted because of the mother's concern the baby was not
feeding well.
This was a Spanish speaking mother from Central America. This was her third
child. Her first was 12 years old. She nursed this child for over a year.
This child "vomited often" after feedings but grew well and is still in the
average growth for her age. Her second child, who is 8 was born in this
country and she did both breastfeeding and formula. This baby also "vomited"
often and weaned from the breast around 6 months because mom did not feel she
had enough for this baby. This child is now obsess and being seen at a clinic
to address this issue.
Just interesting.
