By the way, the
baby has gained 2 inches in length at 10 weeks. I couldn't remember
if that's
a lot but it sounds like it to me but I had height challenged
children who
never gained 2 inches at a time! Can some babies grow more in length
then
weight? Are babies with cardiac problems who under go surgery slower
gaining
usually?
Has Marfan's syndrome been ruled out? Taller than average and
cardiac involvement are 2 primary characteristics from my limited
knowledge. Had a co-worker with it whose baby would have been
called FTT except she took him to very supportive docs. Weight
wise, he looked like 2-3 months at 6 months, but he was always a
long baby, even as a premie. Some development slow at first, but he
turned out to be a smart little whipper! I've lost touch with her,
so don't know if baby was ever diagnosed with Marfan's, but it is
hereditary.
