To all;
Since the discussion tongue tie is back on the notes I could use some more
ways of discussing this topic with the pediatricians here. I have already
used the approach of having them read all the JHL articles and Alison's
thesis. This worked very well for many of the GPs who are now doing them or
referring very frequently. But I suspect, in the case of the Pediatricians
I'm just getting the material back unread.( at least I'm getting it back)
Some of the GPs have also borrowed Dr. Palmer's tape. It was well received.

My next step I think is to give a presentation. Any other suggestions? At
the moment I am working with a mom and a premi. who is severely tongue
tied(to the tip) doesn't even suck well when finger fed. Can't seem to cup
feed but while I used the Haberman on him he did a bit better. Of course
when I left the room the nursery nurse, even though I had left instructions,
went on to choke him with those pink premi nipples. Said he took it faster.
Yeh! he didn't have any choice. The pediatrician of this little one touched
his tongue, said it came to the lip(I didn't see this) and said that he will
do fine once he's learnt to suck. He is also fighting gavage feeding.
