I am not sure if I have seen any reference to the online journal,
International Breastfeeding Journal, on lactnet. This was launched earlier
this year, and has had a number of papers published. The most recent one
compares UK midwives with members of the UK volunteer support group The
Breastfeeding Network (BfN). This is a comparison not often made in
research, so might be of interest.

The journal is accessable at :
http://www.internationalbreastfeedingjournal.com/
The paper is: Breastfeeding support for adolescent mothers: similarities and
differences in the approach of midwives and qualified breastfeeding
supporters
Hall Moran V, Dykes F, Burt S, Shuck C
International Breastfeeding Journal, 2006 1:23 ( 25 November 2006 )

I should make various disclaimers: I am on the editorial board of the
journal, I am a BfN supporter, and one of the authors of this paper was one
of my PhD supervisors.

However, I make no money out of any of these and genuinely thought some of
you might be interested in this paper and in knowing about the journal.

Magda Sachs, BfN Supporter & PhD.
