Have a question for all the hospital based LCs on the list.   The
medical system that owns the hospital where I work is working on
developing system-wide lactation services.  Currently none of the
hospitals charge for inpatient lactation consults, but there is a wide
variety of both patients and services in the 3 different hospitals
involved.  Is there anyone who works for a hospital that does charge for
and usually gets reimbursement for inpatient consults?  I am interested
in both large and small hospitals because these 3 hospitals vary in
delivery rates from 3500 to 10,000/year.  I am not requesting the amount
of the charges, but if you include that please respond to me privately
so we don't break the rules.
