Hi,

Our guidelines for storage of refrigerated milk at our hospital have been 48 hours for several years. I have read through the newest HMBANA guidelines, and they seem to indicate that these storage guidelines can be changed to as long as 96 hours (it specifically states 2-4 days).

Just wondering if any other hospitals have changed their refrigeration guidelines to the longer 4 days of storage based on the newer recommendation. Thanks.

Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
