How long has she been pumping?  I had a mom like this once, it took about 2
months until her breasts got the message to let down to the baby AND the
weird plastic thing making the strange noise.  She would complain about it
at meetings as her baby would latch, then pull off since the stream of milk
was so strong.

We had her on a rental with the largest flanges that fit her - then she
could go back to her purchase pump.  With baby number 2 she switched pump
brands and had an easier time.
