Sorry Pat - in this part of the world the scissors hold is almost always
seen *except* in mothers who have gone through the BFHI antenatal classes -
we can always tell who has and who hasn't!  And yes, the fear of smothering
the baby with the nose borders on paranoia too!  The fascinating thing, I
find, is how similar mothering is the world over, rather than how different.
