Metformin is usually prescribed at around 500mg TID, but varies by Dr. and
patient.

It doesn't have specific "milk-making" benefits but balances some of the
hormonal problems found in PCOS patients that can affect milk supply.
Domperidone is also probably the best bet along with it, at least shortterm
to see how she responds, although many PCOS patients need it longterm.

Metformin is looking to be something that some PCOS patients might need
throughout their lives as it shows benefits in many situations, such as
infertility, pregnancy (prevents miscarriage), nursing, weight-loss, general
health (preventing dangerous side-effects like diabetes and heart disease).
