Dear Lactnet Friends:

I got fabulous responses from all over the world.

Blebs seem to have 2 components: the acute painful milk blister, and then
the stuck or thickened milk in that duct.

There is a lot to do for blebs; I hope I mentioned everything that people
sent to me

1)Small amount topic steroid cream after releasing bleb
2) Moxibustion once a day for 2 or 3 days (this will release the bleb)
3) epsom salt soaks or normal saline soaks
4) releasing the skin over the bleb and then massaging the backed-up, thick
milk out of the breast
5) castor oil packs to deal with inflammation
6) vibration with base of electric toothbrush or hand vibrator
7) ultrasound
8) punch biopsy
9) organic coconut oil or olive oil on the nipple face once bleb is released

We also need to find the original cause; for several women, it's been a
combination of tight bra that made the overproducing breast unhappy.

I LOVE our LACTNET community. Thank you to all who shared their wisdom. I
am ready to see 100 mothers with blebs now.

warmly,
