I agree totally.  It's about time we stopped pussy-footing around the
BF/FF issue and treated it like the smoke issue (which no one
pussy-foots around anymore).

The only major difference I can see in the 2 is that in the RARE cases
where there is a problem (perhaps a mom BF after a breast reduction) and
the mom HAS to give formula (usually because there are insuffiant milk
banks in the world, or insufficiant money in the household to pay for
the liquid gold) then some moms get to feeling that "guilty" feeling
(which we know is the wrong feeling, right?!) and get defensive...where
as there is NO excuse for smoking in front of one's infant.  I.e. one
can't say "well, I had to smoke because I didn't produce enough milk
otherwise".  ;-)

However, for the 99.9% of women who COULD bf (and lots, like my SIL
don't, and wouldn't even to save their OWN life!), it is a nice thing to
see this kind of article.
