Anna, I'll have a go, but I might also have the wrong assumptions.

The 150 mg shot is *one shot for the whole body's volume of blood* I guess,
and if I recall correctly, that is about 5 litres worth, 5000 mls. If I
have mis-remembered, the calculations have to be altered at that point where
I have used 5000 mls.

150 mg per 5000 mls cancels down to 3 mg per 100 mls (ie dividing both
figures by 50)
which is 3000 micrograms per 100 mls, or 30 micrograms per ml

So the shot is worth 30 000 ng/ml

My own question is: this shot has to last 3 months, so must be in a
slow-release form. How much of the 30 000 ng is actually available to cause
an effect at any one time? If the slow-release mechanism is really working,
then you should still divide by 90 days to get a figure per day, and then
perhaps by 24 hours to get a figure per hour etc etc, working somehow with
the half-life of DP, whatever that is......

This is very complicated - I'm not sure you can do it by arithmetic. Going
eeny, meeny, miny, mo among the studies would probably be as valid a way of
estimating as any....and it's probably best to be conservative and delay as
long as possible the introduction of foreign goodies into anyone's body,
IMO.

Best wishes
