I think the long night-time sleeps may be an important factor here. I have
seen this with quite a number of babies - weight gain is fine, baby then is
"sleep-trained" or for some other reason starts sleeping for a long time at
night, and then weight gain either slows drastically or stops altogether. It
can be hard to fix, too, because the mother may have to really work at
getting her milk production up again. Could she try Domperidone?
