One custom in Hawaiian culture is to burn the cord after it falls off.  I did
this with all except Rose---we lost it---not a good thing and I feel just
terrible.  We were living with my in-laws after the birth of my son (baby#2).
 My mother in law thought we were smoking something (I don't mean cigarettes)
when we burned his cord!

Rose lost almost all the baby teeth I kept from her siblings.
