Hi

I have a client with a 2 week old baby who appears to be producing colostrum, and has not yet reached lactogenesis 2. Baby is below birth weight and mum has no feelings of breast fullness or changes associated with lactation, although she is able to express 1oz of orange milk. I am assuming this may be due to a preexisting micropituitary tumour and previous hyperprolactinaemia for which she was treated with bromocrptine. Anyone got any expereince of this situation?

regards
