Thank you to all my Lactnet friends and colleagues to wrote to me with 
words of support.  The good news is that many LLL Areas in the U.S. and 
internationally have written to me extending an offer for me to join 
them.  They promise that they will welcome me with open arms and not 
force me to choose to represent just one breastfeeding organization.  
Although LLLI has issued this directive, many have told me that it is 
untenable in the real world and they they have no intention of following 
it.  Hopefully, my experience will help shine a light on this 
destructive directive.  Unfortunately despite the fact that there are 
other insurance policies available that would not require its leaders to 
make this choice, LLLI issued a statement today that it will not 
consider changing this policy.
