I received a call from this company regarding the establishment of a
collection center for human milk at our hospital. He described it as
a "turn-key" operation. The company provides "everything" needed for
donors to provide human milk including donor screening, electric
breastpumps, freezer, etc. In turn, the hospital provides space and staff
and receives financial compensation for the milk donated. The caller did
indicate that to date they have not established any centers but have a
committment for 2 locations.
The purpose of the enterprise is to provide human milk for NICUs.
Does anyone have any experience with or more information regarding this
company?
