Question: Do breastfeeding counselors/lactation consultants etc.
usually carry liability insurance for the information and help they give
mothers? I am an RN, nursing mom and LLLL who would love to make a
career of the field I love, however, I wonder how to protect myself
while giving new moms such important advice and assistance. It is
really a worry when thinking about becoming an independent consultant.
Do you have moms sign a waiver that further concerns should be directed
to an MD? Any advice is welcome.
