<< Dairy experts say 5% of cows won't lactate. Some high risk, intensive BF
clinics see certain #s of moms unable to BF, but that is only accurate in
so far as their clinic. We need to concentrate on the many moms who are
unable to BF as long as they want from sheer BF mismanagement and stop
wasting our time on trying to establish a "true" number. That's my NSHO

Good point Pat. Reminds me of the teachers who say X% of children will fail
their class. But those really good teachers who pursue the children with
problems can help them pass the class. My daughter had a 5th grade teacher
who recognized that she was falling behind in her math. This teacher helped
her catch up to the rest of the class & she was able to pass without
problems. No earth-shattering problems here. Just needed help getting over a
"hump." Thus, the good & dedicated LC who is willing to persevere can make a
big difference to a mom who is interested in BF. Just help them get over that
hump.
