If your daughter called any of the UK helplines - and she could do so 
:) - then I am pretty sure we'd discuss block feeding with her.

She's clearly gaining well (am assuming that's a pound above 
birthweight, so her overall weight gain is better than a pound), so 
the potetial concerns about supply dipping as a result would not be 
great.

The scenario you describe is classic over supply - the only box not 
ticked is the fact the baby is v. young.

At this stage, I'd be hoping block feeding would make breastfeeding a 
happier, more comfortable experience for both of them.
