Besides ears and eyes, breast milk can go into a baby's nose, too, whether there is irritation from virus, bacteria or allergies.  I wish I could just keep lactating a tiny bit all the time, to have a supply of fresh milk for topical use! During the eight years that I constantly had someone nursing, I not only used it on people, but for my cats' eye infections and I even used it on my daughter's pet rat, when his eyes were swollen shut, once.  I am sure there are people who would think using human milk on an animal was weird, but I don't think it is any more weird than giving animal milk to human babies!
