Thought you all might be interested in a very good, in-depth article
discussing the health issues of the Ezzo's curricula, Preparating for
Parenting and Babywise. The article will be available on the web page of
the Boulder Weekly in the next day or so, and will be available for about the
next week, so don't dally on looking this one up. (Boulder, Colorado, is the
home of Dr. Robert Bucknam, co-author of Babywise) Web address:
 www.boulderweekly.com

For those interested in the Christian aspects of the program: The Ezzo's
programs first gained their popularity in part through the sponsorship of the
program at Grace Community Church, home of John MacArthur. After having
examined the curricula in 1995, however, the programs were discontinued by
his church. No written statement is available, but callers are forthrightly
told that the materials are "not offered, not sold, not permitted, and not
taught" at Grace Community, and that Grace's own concerns include "theology,
methodology, and lack of accountability". Should it be helpful, parents and
other interested individuals can be referred to Grace directly for the
details of their concern.
