  I do agree with Diane that stress, pain and an inhibited MER do not go
together.

  I have only seen two cases of MER inhibition - one in a mother whose baby
was in high-care, but doing well and another was a case of slow weight gain
in a mother who had had breast augmentation surgery and received lots of
crazy advice.  Both mothers would let down at some feeds and not at others.
Both cases were resolved with short term use of oxytocin nasal spray as part
of the care plan.
