Wouldnt staph be an expected pathogen in a breast abcess as it is a skin soft tissue pathogen?
If this mom really grew pseudomonas I would wonder we she has this if she is normally immunocompotent. Or maybe a nosocomial infection? Still why would it grow in a normal host? Is there something about breastmilk that would favor the grow of this?
