re: the meaning of HELLP

HELLP is an abbreviation for "hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low
platelets". It is a form of severe pre-eclampsia-eclampsia.

I was doing a Medline search (from 1990-1996) yesterday. There were
absolutely no references on HELLP and subsequent breastfeeding, although
I believe that another person besides myself posted anecdotes of
successful breastfeeding after the mother experienced HELLP at delivery.
