  epoetin alfa "does not seen to present a major risk to the fetus. but only
six human pregnancies . three during the 1st trimester, are known to have
been exposed to the drug"  - briggs freeman and yaffee. p329 edition 4

   from what they say this is a naturally occuring substance.. if that is
true the replacement would bring mom to normal level and so bf should not be
contraindicated...

    hopefully one of our esteemed will add more information. in the mean time
if she must pump then i certianly would not have her dump.
