Hi all,

In response to some "hopes", I will most certainly share my results with
people who are interested. I am filing away all of your e-mails in a
new "inbox" apart from everything else.

I suppose I should have expected a large amount of people to respond,
what with posting it here (with 2000+ people to answer, assuming that
most of them have tempted the nursing/pregnancy scene), and on top of
that I posted it on about 6 other mailing lists (less high-volume ones)
so I am getting an incredible number of responses (for an idea, I was
away from my 'puter for about 3 days until today, sunday, because the
floppy drive needed repairing, and where I might have had 100-150 msg.
normally, I got about 300!). I am saving them all away as well on my
zip drive in a word file, and will compile it all when I get everyone in
there. So it may take a few weeks (hopefully not months!) but I'll
eventually get it all compiled, and send out the results. Promise!

Thanks to everyone I can't actually reply to personaX-Mozilla-Status:

My own personal sight on this is that I have one that my mom bought (at
my request) as a present for our newborn-days, and which I've used only
a handful of times. It, being rather firm and well-fitted, was good for
if I had a starving hungry baby AND was starving hungry myself, so we
could both eat at the dinner table at once. Or even just in the earlier
days, after she started getting very heavy (around 10 lbs) but wasn't
big enough to lay her bum on my lap while I supported only her
head/shoulders with my one arm. However, I never carried it about with
me (I have this thing about not carrying more than is necessary with
us: a change of diapers/wipes, a change of clothes and a sling was all
to begin with...now as she gets older that's changed to a backpack
instead of sling, along with a sippy cup for if she desperately wants
water when we're out but wants to do it "by herself". ;-)).
Anyhow...while it had its uses briefly, I PROBABLY could have lived
without, and it now sits in her cradle and she lays her body on it for
naps. That's about it. I do know some people love them though, and
i've seen inflatible ones that look really quite neat, because if you're
like me and don't need it "all the time" but are taking a trip (like
plane trip) and might want it at some point in your travels, you can
pack it in a small bundle and then iX-MoziX-Mozilla-Status: 0009d at
your destination.

Fio.
