Dear Ms Curtis,

I found your email address while searching for the term "breast feeding." http://users.erols.com/cindyrn/

I write about health issues. I currently collaborating on a medical textbook with an anthropologist at Tulane. It will focus on the health effects of a wide range of environmental toxicants.

Perhaps you might have a list of citations that might assist me in in explaining that breast feeding is still preferred over other feeding methods, in spite of the rising chemical load that breast milk contains, dioxin being the most toxic.

Best Regards,
Paul

Two studies that I have copies of are:
1.. Mortensen , E.L.et al. The Association Between Duration of Breastfeeding and Adult Intelligence JAMA v.287, n.18, 8may02.
2.. And another; Armstrong, J., et al. Breastfeeding and lowering the risk of childhood obesity The Lancet v.359, n.9322, 8jun02

I am updating and expanding this article I wrote two years ago because much has been done in that time.
