OB is one of the most lucritive services for US hospitals to provide, and
the charge to parents/insurance companies certaily would certainly cover
the small cost of formula for those rare babies who need it or parents who
choose it (18 cents per ounce including all supplies according to
Evergreen, the fist hospital in the US to be recognized as "baby
friendly").
