Hi everyone,

Thought I add my .02 on this one too. My oldest was born in a
freestanding birthing center. She was immediately put on my abdomen, and
we were covered with a towel hot out of the dryer. When they eventually
got around to weighing her, it was done right in my room. She was given
a bath the next day before we went home. The nurse offered to do it.
She sat on my bed (regular queen size) and very gently gave Gabbie her
first bath. My second and third were born at home, so I don't even
remember when we got around to bathing them.

Aloha,
