Sounds like this baby needs to be fed. R/O inadequate calories would be
easier than R/O metabolic causes.
This could be done with a hospital stay. Close calorie counts for a day or
so even if it meant giving expressed milk instead of direct feeding if
accurate test weights can not be done.
This really sounds from Carroll's description that this baby is not being
fed.
