I remember while nursing my first and having an IBCLC recommend this
position to me... it was the most uncomfortable position!  I have observed
that larger chested women don't seem to do well with it just because they
feel like they have to hold on to the breast so much in order to keep it in
place (does that make sense?)  It seems to be especially hard with a baby...
now my 2 year old will nurse standing up and while I am typing on the
computer (get the mental picture?  it's pretty funny)... so he doesn't mind
where the boobies are just so long as he can get at them.
