Hi all,

As usual, I have been lurking in the sidelines, but no send any mail. A
couple things on my mind, though. Does anyone know where I might pick
up the text by Glass & Wolf (Feeding & Swallowing Disorders in Infancy:
Assessment & Management). I called my local bookstore but no can find.
Please e-mail me @ [log in to unmask] Tankey Tankey

There is a women from Sebastopol, CA, I think who is interested in
taking IBLCE in 98? I think her last name was BALZER? I have lots of
ideas I would be more than happy to share with you re: gaining hours
for exam. I have volunteered my BF services to the max, including
forming my own BF support group at a local hospital which is extremely
successful, volunteer BF specialist at same, prenatal questionnaire at
local OB/GYN, with continuing follow-up, etc. etc. Please e mail me for
details, if you want.

I seem to recall, was it Lisa Amir looking for info on hospital based
support groups? Well, Lisa I'm always two days late and a dollar short
as the saying goes. Mine is called Nursing Mothers of Niagara - A
Mother's REsource Group for Breastfeeding Information & Support. Has
been in place for almost 2 years now and is doing great...targets
socioeconomically disadvantaged women in my community.

Katherine D., your posts are absolutely fascinating...I am loving your
book. Thank you for being you.

Well, back to trying to set up quick books...arggh

Oops, by the way. Been meaning to ask some M.D.'s, other medically
knowledgeable out there. My son Matthew is 9 months old, born with
grade one hypospadias (very mild). The specialist here locally is one
of the best, so I'm told. But I did not find him very forthright with
info on the procedures used to fix...even with my assertive prodding for
information. This is my son and I want to know more. I will of course
discuss all this with local M.D., but some advance info/support would be
appreciated...

To lactnetter who posted about craniostenosis and preoperative fasting
time for BF babes...think it's 3 hours before elective surgery...yes?
To Diane Wiessinger, I say my milk tastes delicious, I think human
beings are born with a sweet tooth, may be that's why many of us crave
sweets as we are trying to get back to the breast...milk left in the
cereal bowl after eating sweet cereal, but better.

Lovin lactnet,

Wendy Lee Reddy

P.S. Great to see you on lactnet, Judi Lauwers!
