Yes, one would hope that would be the case, but then I also hope that the
C-sec rate wasn't so high, and that 95% of the women didn't get epiduals and
that I wouldn't constantly see so many babies that can't suck or who get
supplemented because they are too sleepy to eat.  Right now our whole
lactation department is very discouraged and rather depressed.  The hospital
is more concerned about image and not making people feel guilty so we can't
be too pushy.  What we really need is a dynamite new face who is really pro
breastfeeding to stand up for all the lactation folks.  Recently all the
floor nurses got a bonus, but they didn't give it to the lactation staff
because, in their opinion, they didn't do direct patient care!.  Now isn't
that an eye-opener!!!  As you can tell, I'm venting frustration.  Thanks for
