Someone wrote "Diabetes is not a disease that presents in infants, to the
best of my knowledge".  Although rare, it does happen.   When my daughter was
in the hospital with her initial diabetes diagnosis, there was at the same
time an 8-month old baby who had just been diagnosed.  Also an 11-year old
girl who was diagnosed when her doctor suspected it because she had repeated
vaginal yeast infections.  I have since heard of a few others diagnosed as
