Pat,
Agree that inlaws visiting is a common etiology for engorgement.  Know one mom
who would not put her baby to breast until her mother in law left- after the
baby's bris!  Needless to say, the 8 day old boy who had just been circed was
not about to learn breastfeeding, and that was it.  Mom felt they did not have
the money for an LC, even when referred to a hospital lactation clinic which
would take their insurance.  Baby of course wound up on meat based formula,
wonder how they find the money for that?
