This is what I describe as being unable to know there is a difference between
sensual and sexual.  I think some women ideitify these terms as one and the
same.  They are confused between mother-baby sensual bonding and marital
arousal.  This is my Psyc.101 take on why some women like this solution to
"doing what's best for baby" without having to sort out all those confused
physical / emotional feelings.  Throw in intense intimacy, which they also don't
seem to be able to handle, ie "...all that closeness was so confining..."
If they didn't know about pumping & bottle feeding, they would have weaned and
given formula.  In my view, these women could use the help of a good
psychotherapist.  But that would happen only if they saw their own reactions as
a problem and they wanted to resolve it.
