So baby has gained about 4.5 lb (from lowest weight) since birth 3.25 months ago? Sounds pretty good, although I didn't plot on a growth chart. Does baby only gain when an EBM/ABM supplement is added? Has mom pumped regularly, in addition to 8 daily BF, or does she pump when gain becomes an issue? The 10-minute feedings may or may not be an issue. In one study, the average BF varied from 10-30 minutes. (Except for my first child, my other 4 were frequent but fast BF--rarely BF longer than 5-10 minutes from birth. This included my slow gainer, who weighed only 10 lb over birth weight at a year and is now an adult and still my skinny one, and my twins and youngest singleton who gained unbelievably and looked like Jabba the Huts. Sorry for the anecdotal, but it seemed to fit!)

Some random thoughts -- One does wonder about that tongue tie you noticed. Will be interesting to discover if treating makes a difference. As noted, you and mom talked about the sleep time and it sounds as if that was a one-time event? Has mom tried any galactogogue(s)? (If you already addressed this, I forgot -- sorry.) Eight, 10-minute bfeedings isn't all that many in 24 hours; I wonder if this baby cues at times in more subtle ways? With two older children this is a busy mom with a lot of distractions!
