Exciting news -

Yesterday morning I got a call on my office line from a nurse at the
hospital - the physician had ordered that I come to the hospital as an LC to
see his patient and set her up with a SNS - she had to pump the first 24
hours due to medication and he wanted me to help get the baby latched on and
nursing now.

15 minutes later he called and talked to me. He explained about the patient
but also told me he had just returned from a conference where he saw a 15
minute video put out by some midwives about breastfeeding. He said he
learned more in that 15 minutes than he had learned in his last 10 years.
He was on his way out of town but wants to get together with me next week
because he realizes as he put it that he hasn't been supporting and
promoting breastfeeding as much as he should and could.

A ray of hope!!!!
